Vegan

Today I made vegan pancakes. Yes, it's against my diet.

But, being a sickly singer, I need my actual whole food nutrition.

and singing through the phlegm by-product of my shakes is just

gross.

but. the vegan pancakes were delicious! here's the recipe I got from Food.com.

Today is the official start day of Proactiv and dieting with Cambridge.

I really want to buy celery and popcorn.

Apparently, popcorn has no calories and

celery has 5 calories in one 6" stalk.

Not to shabby.

and it will keep me sane with

the different textures,

because I like variation.

Which is hard when you're only drinking

shakes.

i was very happy with my bangs today. :]] today was a wonderful day! work was nice, i love mondays.

buffy, bathroom, buffy, laundry...

i love lazy sundays. i cleaned my bathroom [it really needed some tlc] and i did my laundry. i love doing laundry on sundays, because i literally have all day to do it. so, now, i have a basket full of folded, clean laundry. i've watched buffy season 7 all day, and i dont' like watching the very last episode because two of my favorite characters dies. it's the worst ending to my favorite series.

...i think i will watch grey's anatomy now.

for not posting yesterday.

i went baby sitting. and it was glorious! i love my nieces and nephew. i feel like there needs to be another boy, but Rio is alone! either way, i love them all.

i had a wonderfully nice evening.

Least favorite thing(s) about work:

1. squeaky hangbars. so. so. sad for my ears.

2. when we have too much product for our little store. it's sad. but, then we get to look through it first and usually get what we want. ha.

3. DUST! my store gets SO dusty SO fast it's ridiculous! we get dust bunnies every day, without fail. EVERY. DAY.

4. rowdy little children.

5. a very cold back room. and we're talking freezing.

6. hangers breaking. it always happens to me when my arms are full of clothing. it's a little ridiculous. the hanger gods have it out for me. haha.

Most favorite thing(s) about work:

1. Peter, Tiffany, Kaitlan, Lauren, Eliza, Jenn. They are just so wonderful!

2. Really nice customers! i love when people are nice.

3. cute little (quiet and content) babies.

4. cute clooothes.

5. great deals on cute clothes!

6. how i love going into work even if i've had a poop day.

7. great conversations!

8. how there is always something to do.

9. when there isn't something to do, how we always have great conversations.

10. how we all support each other!

There are soo many other reasons why I love working where I do, but I just can't think of them at the moment! I just love everything about work right now. hooray!

Today, a cross dresser came in and tried on these two dresses. He turned a fair amount of heads, but he was the nicest person we met today!

window clings! they're the devil. especially when you're a perfectionist and it's not perfectly straight.

but other than that, today was great. i hung out with peter johnson [not the same one previously referenced] and we went and had sbarro's! i love sbarros. then we had orange julius. it made me feel like i was in california again.

then i went to work. i really do love work. i love where i am, and i love my coworkers. just so. so. great.

yesterday i went to texas roadhouse with my lovely friend/manager peter.

it was delicious.

today, we went on an adventure to go see his friend give a talk in her ward.

but we eventually got there. so no worries.

i love that boy. he's so great! such a nice friend, and such a lovely person. we're going to go to california together. i wish i had a picture with peter! he's just lovely. hooooooray!

Bloggerverse, Hello!

This morning I went shopping with my roomie and got her a new outfit for her date this weekend! ...and to match a pair of ankle boots that she got a month ago. I'm so happy with it, I think I'm going to become a personal shopper. Rates soon to come. :] Here it is:

So, we started with jeans. She really needed jeans. These are the Miss Slim Skinny Jean. they are a great, flattering jean with very slight details that make the jean pop.

Then, I got one of my FAVORITE tops we have this season. it's called the

Fancy Tee. The website didn't have the color we chose (Dark Shadow) but you can still see it there. :] I know it's not the best picture, but I wanted you to see what they actually looked like. We paired it with the Longitude Cardigan, which isn't on the website, but is in stores! It's one of my favorites, and I LOVE the plantation color. The cardigan compliments so many different skin tones. :]

I also persuaded her to get the Red Leaf Belt. Wearing it high up above the natural waist giving her a great hour-glass figure. All the colors mesh so well together, because they are all so rich and amazing! Finally, the shoes we got are just so great.

The shoes! she got them at Payless Shoes, and they are called the Renee Zipper Bootie. She got them in brown, which aren't featured on the site, but they are still there!

Well, there it is! I love Downeast, with all it's cute clothes and affordable too! Everything is mix and match, dress-up, dress-down... so versatile! Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Tuesday

So, I had a picture to add to this post, but it somehow disappeared off my phone. Odd how things work out like that. Today was a very long day. Well, no, it wasn't. I went to campus today to help with Club Rush for Spectrum. It was really daunting to me, because the only person I know in Spectrum/GSA was at the booth yesterday, so I went in blind. It turned out nice-ish... I didn't make super amazing friends with everyone, but they were all nice and stuff. It's hard to put yourself out there and feel vulnerable. But I did it. And I'm proud of myself. :]]] j

Then... I went to work. blah. blorg. booooo. Such a long day! We're so slow after holiday, it's so killer. I can't stand it, no lies.

Also, my friend Kait wants to start doing the insanity work out.

And my friends Lauren and Kait and myself are going to start doing yoga/belly dancing.

There was also talk of a colon cleanse, but I'm not sure if that is going to actually happen.

Sunday

Yesterday, I got a lot of new free stuff.

It's nice to see that my saddened state is revitalized into happiness when i spend my free money.

I love free money... and it was totally and incredibly free! No, I didn't steal it.

At work, they have these incentives called DownEast Bucks. They are pretty awesome, no lies. Since I worked so much this past holiday season, I got a ton.

I just love my Peace ring! I'm watching Grey's right now. It's glorious. I'm SO glad it is back. I'm so glad all my shows are back! I can't really talk, but know that today was a wonderful, productive, beautiful day off. :]] Happy Thursday.

I have no picture for today. But I have a list!

- I'm very grateful for my brown and black peacoats. I don't know what I would do without them.

- I think my cat is in heat. Not. Cool.

- Today was probably the longest short shift of my life. EVERYONE NEEDS TO BUY CLOTHES AT MY PLACE OF EMPLOY! Please. pretty pretty please.

- I love Jumex Mango Nectar.

- I keep hitting the "o" instead of the "-" and it's really starting to bother me.

- Tomorrow is my day off! Which means a long bath, finishing laundry, organizing my room, and some much needed Buffy the Vampire Slayer one-on-one time.

- I have a new roomie. She's pretty okay. And really tall.

- I love my heart dog that my lovely friends Bre and Travis got me out on display. I love it!!

when i started putting in the date for this post, i couldn't remember if i posted yesterday. but i did. don't fret. :] i had a nice relaxing new year's eve. i very much wanted to be with my friends, but alas, it didn't work out, but that is alright. they still love me all the same. today, i'm thankful for:
