it's a brand new day.

So, I'm at Coffee Break and it's gotten cold.
being here reminds me of jessie and area 51 [something i'd rather not remember].
i have work tomorrow, and i'm getting paid time-and-a-half.
love it.
just letting everyone know that i'm still alive after this weekend.
...because if you saw me this weekend, you'd be wondering.

love!

Well Hello...

I haven't blogged in a while. Or, at least a real blog. Where I actually tell you what is going on in my life.

Haha, there's nothing too exciting to be honest.
I still work at DownEast.
I'm still singing all the time [probably much to my housemate's dismay]

...That's pretty much it. My life seems rather boring.

...Oh WAIT! I'm transferring to the U. I'm getting out of Provo!!!!!!!! I'm going to go study Musical Theatre Education.

Be jealous.

happy wednesday. :]

I want you back!

Well, life in Utah is pleasant. Besides the small factoid of me not having internet at my house, but that's alright. That is what bus passes [PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ROCKS!] and free internet at school are for. :]

I've gotten a lot darker since I've been here, which I find mildly comical. It's just great, to be honest. I feel like a Californian again.

I've been busy busy with scholarship applications and getting ready for school. It's been a bit of a process, but when the semester starts I think I will be alright. I just need books now, and I'm set!

My lovely friend Phillip came to visit me last weekend and we had a blast! We played A LOT and went to Park City to play with my other lovely Christina. I love those kidlets. haha. :]]]

My boys are going to Las Vegas this week. Sad.

Lovely Tuesday!

Long lost no more.

List of Life. By: Felisa Hanamaikai.

I found this in my laptop! I thought it was quite inspirational [and coherent, because apparently I wrote it at 4 in the morning almost a year ago]. So, laugh, contemplate, whatevs. :]

1. Never back down from what you believe in. [whatever it may be.]
- I may not be as active in church as others [including myself] might want me to be, but I know God loves me. I believe in Him. I just need to figure out how much.

2. Never, ever walk on warm, squishy tar in high heels. You WILL regret it when you get stuck and hurt yourself/pride.
- Does this really need an explanation? :] I'm very skilled at making a fool of myself, often.

3. Stand by your friends/family. Always... and let them know how special they are to you.
- Even if it tears relationships apart. [which then you know they weren't worth it in the first place.]

4. As Miriam's late Great Grandma Twila said perfectly, "Laugh at something everyday. If you can't find something to laugh about, look in a mirror."
- What a wonderful, feisty little old lady. [Random fact: she died at 104 last week.]

5. Always be learner, and an occasional teacher.
- People learn from everyone's mistakes. Listen. Share. Still love and forgive, if deemed necessary.

6. Never give up your happiness for the sake of something silly. Like a boy. [or a girl]
- Srsly. Your happiness and worth should be your highest priority. ...I guess there is an exception if you have children, but then that should be a given.

7. Listen to Alison Krauss when you're upset.
- It's hard to be anything but relaxed when you listen to her.

8. Every once in a while, do something that makes you uncomfortable.
- Nothing too risky, but expand your horizons a little. A suggestion? Eat some octopus. :]

9. Explore other religions.
- In a class I took I learned that almost every religion has some sort of truth to it when compared to the LDS church. So, I officially dare you to read up on other sects of this world. Heck, visit a chapel, synagogue, temple, church house.. whatever tickles your fancy. You'll feel the spirit, I bet you. [just don't forget that you have the whole truth]

10. Genuinely smile at people.
It'll make you feel awesome, and probably brighten their day.

11. Meditate daily.
- Srsly. You'll feel so much better. Don't forget a pillow if you plan to mediate longer than 15 minutes, though. Your bum might hurt.

Being deeply Loved by someone gives you Courage.

ilovemyfriends.

today, today is a day where everything i wish would come true.
i'd be finished with school,
i'd have a car,
Erin would be gone,
my dad would not be involved with erin.
at all.
but, alas, life is not that way.
so,
i'm just going to be happy.
Winnie the Pooh-bear had it all right.
whenever things go wrong,
he just said "oh bother."
so, world,

Oh. Bother.

Happy Saturday!

SyFy.

Yes, I stole this from my sister. Why you ask? Mostly because i don't think I can name 40 things at this time of the morning. But hey. We'll see.

1. I don't like when people are upset with me for unknown reasons. It's a little annoying. I would much rather know why I made you upset and either fix it or you could still be mad with me. But then at least I'll know.

2. I truly enjoy hearing other's problem. ...to a point. If you complain about the same shiz, then I will get annoyed.

3. I like walking around outside without shoes. I really do.

4. I want to be the coolest history teacher in the world. I think it's because I had some
amazing history teachers in my time. MAN. I truly adore them, still to this day.

5. I love driving my dad's car.

6. I hate it when my dad's car smells funny. (IE smoke, weird food, nasty nasty dog)

7. Don't tell, but I like it when my friends drive my car. I feel oddly safe when they drive my car.

8. I don't like being alone. Like right now, my dad is over at *ahem*
her house. I hate it. I hate being alone, and I hate that he's there.

9. I'm a pretty big hippie. A hippie who likes to shower and have a job. But still. Animal activist, non-red meat eating, walk-around-without-shoes hippie.

10. I have become very much into Taoism. It's so, peaceful. I feel like my life isn't as complicated.

11. I dislike manipulative people.

12. I miss camping, bonfires, and sleeping under the stars.

13. I have this bracelet that I made a couple years ago that I still wear. IDK why, but I feel very lost without it.

14. I love my family. A lot.

15. I miss being a kid... like when nothing really mattered besides who is "it" in hide-and-seek.

16. I don't like that my dad is still in love with his ex-wife.

17. I'm not much for spectator sports, but I do love me some high school sports and some college sports. Mostly volleyball and basketball. I'm not much for football though.

18. I was afraid of everything when I was younger. ...and I mean EVERYTHING.

19. I find the supernatural intriguing. I can't decide if it's real or not.

20. I don't have just one favorite color. I truly do love them all.

21. I don't know where I would be without my friends. We just all fit together perfectly.

22. I am not a very girly person, but I love having my nails done. love love love love.

23. I don't know how I am going to handle dealing with baby poop. I get sick so easy... I just hope that the "when it's your baby" theory works, or I have a fabulous husband who will change diapers all the time.

24. My family is definitely cooler than your family.

25. I miss California, but I don't think I would move back.

26. I don't drink soda anymore. It's kind of crazy, because I use to drink soda everyday, at least 2 cans.

27. I miss school. I need school. I want homework. (I must be crazy)

28. I would love to stay in Idaho if the winters were not as long.

29. I get easily annoyed with whiny people. It's sort of sad, because I like to help/listen to people.

30. I hate hospitals.

31. Sometimes, I question my religion.

32. Then I realize I am being silly.

33. My favorite outfit for men is dark wash slightly jeans, a nice light colored collared shirt and nice shoes... Or even skate shoes. Fitted jeans... mmmhmmm.

34. There are things you just can't share with your family. Or at least you should wait a while until you tell them.

35. I believe in ghosts.

36. I am a firm believer in hotel camping.

37. I love tea!!

38. Swinging on swings is ridiculously therapeutic.

39. I love being scared.

40. I am not sure if I have repeated myself on this list of 40, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway.

Happy Wednesday!

Something of Substance [finally]

So, all of my previous posts for a several weeks have been about music. and pictures. As my sister, I love lists, mostly because I hate trying to form sentences on what is going on in my life. So, here you are, something of substance, because a couple weeks ago Scott Holmstrom asked if I "post" on my blog anymore. haha, so Scott, dear complex neighbor, here you go. [along with all those lovelies who read my blog, also.]

- I have a job. Granted it's at the ROC, but hey. It's money coming in, which is greatly appreciated.

- I have decided to go to BYU-I, and I need to go through the process of reapplying. SO STOKED. :/

- With the decision to go to BYU-I, I will not have to commute to Idaho Falls every darn day for the next 2 years. hooray!!

- I still have amazing friends, whom I love dearly. We have so much fun together, it's addicting.

- I have a room! and my papason has his room back, so it's a happy deal.

- Everyone has returned for BYU-I semester, and my ISU lovelies are just about finished. I am a happy panda.

- I will hopefully have a car for fall semester. Whether it be my brother's old Isuzu, or one purchased with my left over pell grant money, we shall see. I am just happy that I will have a vehicle again.

- I know the summer is around the corner. I KNOW it is there, somewhere, begging to come and play. So, I'm praying for warm weather. [you should, too.]

And, as a grand finale, a wonderful quote from the Tao of Pooh, "When I let go of what i am, I become what I might be."

Lovely Wednesday!

Old Man Winter and Mother Nature had a torrid Love Affair...

and this is their love child.

Big Sky Ski Resort and Lodge near Bozeman, Montana. So, a while ago, I applied for a job to work at the resort. Why? Because it would be awesome. I love Bozeman. I love Montana. I don't really know why, but I most definitely do. Anyway, I was called by a man named Sean, who is a pretty cool guy, and we had an interview. Days/months passed, I didn't hear from him, so I thought my winter would be Montana-less. To my surprise, last Friday I received a call from a woman named Petra who was over the Coffee Cafe who wanted to interview me right then and there! I was thrilled, and quite caught off guard, but I feel it went really well. :]

Now the issue is 1- will I get the job? 2- I will be totally freaked to take the job. I know it's just nerves, but man, sometimes they get the best of me!

Pro's -
lots of money
amazing experience
MONTANA.
Possibility of .. you know. love? haha
Great memories to be had!

Con's -
Gone from family/friends
living alone for the first time
gone until April
No holiday fun
I need be there in two weeks [totally freaking out]

help?

yes, no, yes, no... ugh.

Homeless Party

Well, seeing as it was something sort of monumental, I decided that it would be a good idea to let people know. Cassie and I are homeless! It's a party and a half, not gonna lie. Cassie, Amy and I are thinking of getting an apartment in Rexburg on Main, right next to Ford and Tom. It's pretty cute, and it's only 475 a month. It'll be pretty amazing if we can get it. If we do, we can move in on the 23rd. So hopefully! But as of right now we're staying with some friends in my ward in Aspen. They're so amazing and wonderful. I love them. I'm so glad that my friends care about me. I don't know what I would do without them.

Rest In Peace, Girl

Life comes and goes so quickly.

We love and miss you, Kristan.
