monday!

The last time I updated was a month and three days ago. You know what that means! Life. List. Ready? GO!

1- I moved to Provo, UT. I love where I live. It's pretty much the best place I've lived and paid rent for. A/C, W/D, dishwasher, internet[finally]... It's nice. ALSO. If I wanted to, meaning I do REALLY want, I can get a puppy. or a kitten. But most likely a kitten.

2- I'm working at Downeast Outfitters in Provo again. I love it. It's pretty much amazing. I seriously lucked out on getting my job there.

3- class. oh class. It's school. It's lost it's luster, but it's alright. I love it either way.

4- i have great roomies. one is my sister, the other is some girl I found off CL. haha. But she's not cray cray!! It's so nice.

5- I downloaded the new iTunes, and I don't see why everyone hates it. Silly people.

6- I'm slowly getting back into the crafty-felisa mode. i feel like it is because some of my favorite holidays are coming up soon. [halloween, thanksgiving, my bday, christmas, new years]

that's all i got. ha. i'm noticing that my blog is not that exciting. but, i still love it. :]

Happy Monday!

ps. my lovelies are coming to see me in two weeks. i am so incredibly stoked, it's far past description.

I want you back!

Well, life in Utah is pleasant. Besides the small factoid of me not having internet at my house, but that's alright. That is what bus passes [PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ROCKS!] and free internet at school are for. :]

I've gotten a lot darker since I've been here, which I find mildly comical. It's just great, to be honest. I feel like a Californian again.

I've been busy busy with scholarship applications and getting ready for school. It's been a bit of a process, but when the semester starts I think I will be alright. I just need books now, and I'm set!

My lovely friend Phillip came to visit me last weekend and we had a blast! We played A LOT and went to Park City to play with my other lovely Christina. I love those kidlets. haha. :]]]

My boys are going to Las Vegas this week. Sad.

Lovely Tuesday!

I'm pretty happy with what I have, because I registered a lot later than every other student. I am eternally grateful to my computer for sure.

I'm SO STOKED that I get to start my music classes this semester, because I was thinking I had to take generals for the first two years, and then not finish school because I would be dead. I'm okay with living in the Gunther Building. :]

I went to a small town called Weiser last weekend. There was a huge fiddle contest that weekend. Well actually, it was the whole week but Miriam and I were there for just the weekend. It was so great!! If you can't tell, this is middle of nowhere Idaho. It's between Twin and Boise. ...I think. You can correct me, if needs be.

Either way, we made such amazing time it is ridiculous. Usually it takes about fourish hours to get there, but we made it to Boise in just over three. No, we weren't speeding. Yes, there was construction. I think it's because we left at 6:30am. No one was on the road, it was really nice.

We had a great drive to Weiser. Lots of singing, laughing, enjoying each other. Miriam and I are pretty good for each other, because we're so different. I think it's a rare thing
among friendships. haha. We're just awesome.
We were camping in what the community had kindly called "Hippieville." I loved it. Camping is one of my most favorite things to do.

We got there around 12:30, and we watched one of the rounds of the Grand National's. We were super exhausted! Driving is killer.

After the 2nd round of GN, we went over to our campsite to set up. This is a sunset we saw that night before we went to bed at 9 or something.

All over great great weekend. videos of Miriam and my new found love to come soon. :]

Long lost no more.

List of Life. By: Felisa Hanamaikai.

I found this in my laptop! I thought it was quite inspirational [and coherent, because apparently I wrote it at 4 in the morning almost a year ago]. So, laugh, contemplate, whatevs. :]

1. Never back down from what you believe in. [whatever it may be.]
- I may not be as active in church as others [including myself] might want me to be, but I know God loves me. I believe in Him. I just need to figure out how much.

2. Never, ever walk on warm, squishy tar in high heels. You WILL regret it when you get stuck and hurt yourself/pride.
- Does this really need an explanation? :] I'm very skilled at making a fool of myself, often.

3. Stand by your friends/family. Always... and let them know how special they are to you.
- Even if it tears relationships apart. [which then you know they weren't worth it in the first place.]

4. As Miriam's late Great Grandma Twila said perfectly, "Laugh at something everyday. If you can't find something to laugh about, look in a mirror."
- What a wonderful, feisty little old lady. [Random fact: she died at 104 last week.]

5. Always be learner, and an occasional teacher.
- People learn from everyone's mistakes. Listen. Share. Still love and forgive, if deemed necessary.

6. Never give up your happiness for the sake of something silly. Like a boy. [or a girl]
- Srsly. Your happiness and worth should be your highest priority. ...I guess there is an exception if you have children, but then that should be a given.

7. Listen to Alison Krauss when you're upset.
- It's hard to be anything but relaxed when you listen to her.

8. Every once in a while, do something that makes you uncomfortable.
- Nothing too risky, but expand your horizons a little. A suggestion? Eat some octopus. :]

9. Explore other religions.
- In a class I took I learned that almost every religion has some sort of truth to it when compared to the LDS church. So, I officially dare you to read up on other sects of this world. Heck, visit a chapel, synagogue, temple, church house.. whatever tickles your fancy. You'll feel the spirit, I bet you. [just don't forget that you have the whole truth]

10. Genuinely smile at people.
It'll make you feel awesome, and probably brighten their day.

11. Meditate daily.
- Srsly. You'll feel so much better. Don't forget a pillow if you plan to mediate longer than 15 minutes, though. Your bum might hurt.
